Apologies for the wall intrusion. I'm in a band that's made our first (and free) ep this year (already written another, not yet recorded) and thought based on your taste you miiiight enjoy it. https://pethates.bandcamp.com Cheers, and have a good day.

yeahhh, its pretty bad, I'm looking forward to '68, Have Mercy, Moose Blood, Pup and a few others. Silverstein is always kinda nice to see though. There's just enough at this one to justify going.

Ah same, not a great lineup but there's enough there I think. Seeing Aaron West would be awesome

Sorry to reply so late. I would say it depends what you're looking for. I recommend Smiley Smile...it's really weird and cool and along with Pet Sounds shows that they are a much more diverse and imaginative group than many people credit them with.

Dude, Section 80 is a great album too! Even though the new one is his best imo, all his albums are great in different ways. Yeah, I actually really enjoyed Fantano's review and I'm not always a fan of him. He made a lot of good points, and gave it the score it deserved.

It's so hard to pick favorites but if I had to choose I guess King Kunta, These Walls, u & How Much a Dollar Cost would be up there. It's such a great cohesive experience.

I liked the performance of it on SNL... it's the intro track to the album so it's more of a buildup track I think.

Idk man, Kanye's pretty unique haha but he's obviously influenced a lot of artists. I'd say try Childish Gambino's album "Because the Internet"... also a lot of Drake's stuff draws influence from Kanye, especially how Kanye was basically the first rapper to do the dark R&B/electropop thing on 808s.

Actually, I'm not really a sci-fi/fantasy kind of guy. I loved the fantasy settings in Seconds mainly because it still maintained its real-life type intelligence, but I don't really like fantasy as a standalone thing. But if we're already talking comics; Ghost World is utter shit compared to the movie adaptation. Don't read it. It's pretty terrible.

I haven't read much graphic novels in the past few years, unfortunately, so I'm not sure. I read Maus a couple of years ago and from what I remember, it was really good. I loved Lost At Sea too, but I'm not sure it counts since it was also made by Bryan Lee O'malley, and you probably already read it if you read Seconds. If you didn't, you totally should! Have you read any good graphic novels that are worth checking out?

I dunno. I guess I've just expanded my music horizon. My friends have introduced me to new artists that I've been listening to a lot.

So I started listening to IARB. So far I'm not seeing it, it's like they're both eclectic and super textbook indiemo\\\\pop punk at the same time. Kind of like Brand New, minus all the angst. But I can see why you like them, just not really my thing. The Futile is a great song though. Seconds was incredible IMO, probably my favorite comic of all time, I agree about Max not being an interesting character, but fuck him, he's not SUCH a big part of the book. I really loved how it flawlessly blended funny Scott-Pilgrim-esque dramedy settings with all of that rad insane fantasy jazz. It was all so well made and the art was indeed amazing. Seriously, I'd buy the book for the drawings alone. Really good stuff.

Sure thing man, thanks for adding. I've heard a few songs from Is A Real Boy and Hebrews, but other than that, not really. They have pretty good melodies and their harmonies remind me of Queen for some reason, but they sound sort of too dramatic for my taste, from what I remember. I should probably give IARB a full listen though, before I jump to conclusions. Nice username, have you read Seconds?

To be completely honest, I've sort of strayed away from ATL's music recently. I haven't heard any of their new stuff yet haha
