Cheers! Emo-pop and hyperpop are admittedly not my strongest suit when it comes to genres... but eventaully I think I'd be cool to explore them more. Any favorites from you?

Followed back! MCR and Linkin Park are both long-time favorites, the former especially. I actually just got the live Black Parade album on CD today! Very cool package for a superfan like me. I need to dig more into Arcade Fire's discog, Funeral is a fantastic record.

They Might Be Giants, my first favourite band from childhood until college 👍 I've had this same Ana Ng lyric on my profile bio for years and have hesitated to change it out of respect for tradition, but we'll see what happens lol

TMBG have been on my radar for a bit, but I've started to dig into their catalogue just this year, very fun band with wonderful songwriting. Pretty popular choices but Ana Ng and Birdhouse are probably my two favorite TMBG songs out of the ones I have heard.

Tbh I don't listen to them anymore, but they were perfect for a weirdo youngster on the spectrum like me, especially those who loved geeky rock music about science and history :D I was introduced to them thru my cousin, who himself was introduced from the same place that many were: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5Za8HggalY (not sure if you ever caught this show growing up, but t'was good, and a non-album gem to be sure)

Congrats on 100k scrobbles! Bad Apple, both the original and the famous cover are timeless bangers. I've wondered how the playing the PC-98 games would work out, but I still need to play some of the classic Windows games like 7 & 8 still.

Well hey, you can play Luna Nights and pretty much get the point of 6 lmao. It's a great fangame, as a lover of metroidvanias it's really fun. I have a few more games on my backlog but after that I'm ready to tackle 7, 8 and 10 in that order.

It's a wonderful tribute to all the great 3D platformers, feels similar to a lot of 3D Mario games. And it's free so you can't go wrong with that! Personally though, I am definitely not as experienced in 3D platformers compared to 2D ones, so it took me about three hours to get all 30 strawberries lol.

I love 3D platformers, and when I played a Celeste 3D fangame a while back, I really wished there was an actual full Celeste 3D game. So I was very surprised when they announced this game for the anniversary, and I am really excited to see how the controls work in our lovely 3D Madeline. And cmon experienced? I'm not even good at video games !

Happy holidays, man! Thank you for your words. I moved to Baltimore a while back and apparently it has some hardcore scenes: I'd recommend Next Step Up and Gut Instinct. Stoner/Doom metal had been on heavy rotation the last couple of years, so I'd say check out Sleep, Bongzilla, Bongripper. Do listen to Autechre's Tri Repetae, since you dig Justice!

20.000 scrobbles have been reached! My 20.000th scrobble was Prince's Purple Rain, among the greatest songs ever recorded. Ever since last year I've been diving into Prince's huge discography, although progress has been due to my exchange program and other matters. That still won't stop me from being obsessed with Purple Rain, I can't count how many times I've listened to the album in 2023... or teared up at Purple Rain's guitar solo. Gets me everytime. Until next time, I'll wish you all happy holidays! Here's to a 2024 filled with many more scrobbles!

Nujabes and Prince are legends, and I really got into Daft Punk this year. I didn't think much of them before, but something clicked earlier this year and now Discovery is one of my most played albums lmao.

Hey people! Don't expect me to be that active in the upcoming days. Don't worry, it's due to a good reason: I'm currently on a roadtrip! One last hurrah before my exchange study officially ends. I was in Brugge yesterday, and I'm writing this right now from Amsterdam. Planning to do a nice trip through Cologne, Hamburg, Aarhus and lastly Berlin. Wish me luck out there, because my budget sure is killing me lmao.

Hey man, a while back I finally got that MMZ/ZX collection, steadily replaying the first one after well over a decade and I'm enjoying it :)

Glad to hear man! The first MMZ game can be a bit of a chore, but the collection helps a lot with the grinding & checkpoint problems. Hope you get to MMZ3 and enjoy peak fiction.

I beat Z1 about three days ago, that final battle was fairly brutal, but rewarding... the only thing I couldn't accept was having to see the cutscenes every single time you failed an attempt, rookie game design mistake that I can't believe made it past the playtesters. There were definitely a few chore parts in the game but overall I breezed through a lot of it, my final time was 1:50:52. I didn't use the new "save-assist" features from the collection, nor did I use any elves (always am afraid of using up items like that in games that can't be replenished, least of all cute ones that say "I'll incwease your vitawity, but in wetuwn I'll be destwoyed fowevew :3" like... brah... ;_;). The difficulty overall was somewhat bipolar at times, and short game overall, but it is what it is. I didn't recognise most of the game until I got to Rainbow Devil, my only memory of playing Z1, well over a decade ago, haha. I'm told Z2 is a definite step up, so I'm looking forward to it. :P

Z1 was a testing ground in general, it feels like. Hope you've been enjoying the next games!

I only later found out that some of my aforementioned complaints are because the collection automatically has it set to a mode that's effectively save stating for every checkpoint, and that's why I was never getting a true game over and also had to rewatch all the cutscenes 😅 I finished the second game, although I'm burned out now, and have no plans to keep going without a break, so I'll just wait for my next spike in energy. So, therefore, MMZ3 (which another friend also thinks is the best of the group) will need to wait for its time in the spotlight someday... ⌛

My favorite game of all time. I gotta get up my Lena scrobbles since I played it it back in 2020 and listened to her A LOT before I got this account. Bowie pfp is also classy!

Hey people! I managed to get a CD set of the Undertale OST! Listened to the whole thing in one go and now it's almost at the top of my charts lmao. No regrets though, it's a wonderful trip down nostalgia. On the other hand, I visited my local record store and they were doing a sale campaign where a lot of metal albums were on discount. Managed to snag both Death's Symbolic and Sepultura's Chaos A.D for 8 bucks total! Pretty good deal. Two very different purchases, but I love all three of 'em dearly.

If you like listen that much to Toby Fox you might wanna check out ZUN (composer and creator of Touhou) since he inspired Toby, and there are lot of circles that do remixes of the musics he makes so if you enjoy them there is still a lot more.

Oh, I am already well familiar with our favorite Kirin beer enjoyer, he's an incredibly prolific & influential artist for sure. I especially love the Perfect Cherry Blossom and Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom OSTs. Speaking of remixes, 15.5's remixes are god-tier.
