Neo-psych, or neo-psychedelic, takes many forms. Usually in the realm of rock and roll, neo-psych is the sum of contemporary (arguably 1990s - 2013+) twists and creativity on blues, psychedelic, garage, and fuzz. It is a genre that has been growing in the second decade of the 2000s with popular artists like Thee Oh Sees, Ty Segall, Mikal Cronin, Cosmonauts, Night Beats, White Fence, The Black Angels, Tame Impala, Wooden Shjips, and many others who take influence from, or celebrate, the progression of rock and roll from the late 1950s to the early 1970s.
