Exceptionally that kind of artist in this genre which touches soul with some real dark atmosphere, depressive lyrics and sound experiments. Not like I love all his discography and tracks, but I'm taking my hat off, some songs are always played on long repeat.

Has phucking phreak been replaced by phucked up phreak or what? Phucking phreak sounded way better.

Killed In Space всегда ассоциировалась с Dead Space. Тем более, что альбом вышел через год после релиза первой части.

Космический хоррор вообще почему-то очень нераскрытая тематика, что в играх, что в фильмах, что в музыке, потому очень легко отдельные произведения друг с другом ассоциировать.

I like the new album but I don't think VAC has ever done a bad album. Also VAC is the biggest inspiration for my own industrial music.

TLDR: The 90's were a great time for exploring techno industrial soundscapes, and it's hard as a musician to repeat that in 2019....so get over it! Everything checks out with the new album it's definitely what I was hoping to hear. It must be difficult to make quality music time and again for a scene that has almost no relevance in the larger music community despite it being one of the oldest and one of the most influential electronic genres, so I really have to applaud your efforts over the past decade. Honestly, thanks for not retiring yet. While there's a lot of these newer industrial/EBM artists that have great sounds and I'm excited for their futures, I often find myself hoping that musicians like Bryan Erickson or Daniel Myer never stop making music, and even if you aren't recapturing MY 90s industrial nostalgia with every single new album, I still want to know what you have to say.

Quite unexpectedly, but it seems that the streams that I happened to listen to and the records that were posted lossless are quite different. My sound system is top-tier/hi-end enough to feel the difference in any record, but in this case it's surprisingly big. This is not an advertisement, but I can say that my current impression is better than it was yesterday, in the sound design case at least.

очень хорош, но творчество Эриксона после 2000 года не особо цепляет как-то. :\ хотя отдельные треки с Lust For Blood и Maldire очень даже ничего. с:

It's a very atmospheric song. At first I didn't care for it but learned to like it. I've also learned some of my friends who don't care for VAC really like that track. People who put atmosphere in music first over the track being catchy, melodic or aggressive. Originally the song was supposed to feature vocals by Emilie Autumn. She denied Bryans request. Would have been interesting to hear that version even with some other vocalist.

yeah i think it's that i'm mostly disappointed that it's only an instrumental song, since i'm personally a huge fan of the melancholic vac songs and their lyrics. it sure sounds great, but it could have been more i think. nonetheless it's a good calming song when you listen to the whole album at once.

I haven't listened to VAC for many years. Now I was fortunate enough to discover the album Maldire (2012) a day ago. This is one of those cases where the album cover fits perfectly with the music. Great sounds, same with the atmosphere. After second listen all songs are very enjoyable and every song has something special on its own. Now I hope I can get into Fun With Knives (1999) again, I used to like that album.

Even after I scrobbled the album Maldire 101 times, it never gets boring. This certain atmosphere that all songs share helps and makes it easy to listen to all 11 songs in a row. Even the worst song "Christ Whore" is very good and has interesting small details. I never thought VAC would release such an excellent album that late in their career.

Subconscious Landscapes is good too. It's more chill out and maybe more psychedelic. It's in a way like CD 2 of Maldire which is more evil, dark and aggressive. Check it out.

Well I love psychedelic music (like psybient or rock), so maybe I will check it out some day. By the way it's still amazing how "Maldire" still is as strong as it was when I discovered it in january (9 months ago). It's not that often that I really love ALL songs on a dark electro / industrial (same with futurepop) album but Maldire is one of them.

Zalflex and Empusa are kind of filler tracks though. Album needed one more good long track like Barbed Wire Garden and Last Goodbye.

Help me someone, what is this sound-breaking quote "you know, all out there (...) downloading pornography, shitting out (...) bitching, moaning (...) and it makes me sick"? It appears in VAC "Wasted" and "Caustic Disco". Will be very nice if anyone tell me this is a quote (and from where) or anything else.

Yeah, there's something missing from them. Not bad in general. Especially Maldire is quite nifty imo but they don't stand the comparison to his old great albums. They were maybe more psychedelic and twisted. Also the new albums do kind of a similar thing but just not as well.
