@JordaneLopes thank you but this is a very big rarity and very difficult find his lyrics as The Southern Death Cult and Death Cult , in particular - his earlier creativity :( sad

Listened to this album the whole way through for what must be the first time in nearly 20 years. It represents the darkest of times for me but also a triumph of survival through those times. Therefore I forgive Ian for the occasional POS like Holy Mountain...

@IanCurtis13: I can't recall what year or whom I quote but I believe Bauhaus were referred to as "punk gothique". Then again a moniker is not a definition of style :)

EchoedRuins: Judging by the record sleves it should be The Southern Death Cult, Death Cult and The Cult. About the Goth word. In the very early 80's I remember it being mentioned as gothic punk and positive punk.

Actually, Abbo of UK Decay, said "We're into Goth movement" in February of 1981.

They were the first band to have the word Goth applied to them--in a profile in Punk Lives! fanzine, 1982

This pic is not of the Southern Death Cult but Death Cult, the 2nd band formation. I'll propose a new pic!
