One of the few albums I own where it's impossible to pick favorite songs - because they're all perfect.

Possibly their best album. Although why oh why was Island In A Stream left off the vinyl version in favor of Garden Of Delight?

Eldritch was right about Hussey's lyrical ability. But you have to be a miserable old scrote not to love the Mish as well.

Compared with the subsequent 2 albums, lyrics to the most of the songs on this album are appalling. Yet I appreciate how Mr. Hussey developed into a very fine lyricist in considerably short time.

@Coop_R: for me it's the opposite. the more I listen to this album, the more I can find good songs on it. They were boring but now suddenly not anymore. btw I hate that last.fm can't show the original release date (1986 here). they need to do anything about it, and I don't think it'd be hard or complicated to let last.fm show the date of the original version and the re-released one.
