One of the greatest Rock records ever, complete with monumental hits & a shitty cover (that becomes a tacky drunken sing-along track when you play the album over & over)

"apart from the dreadful Steppenwolf cover. don't know what they were doing with that one." Probably Rick Rubin's genius idea.

Etheral stuff - listening to this today is a reminder on how good rock really can be, and THIS was put out in the stinking pastell-colored and permanented 80s. It came out just as I was young and confused and had my hiphop-period in life, but it still rocked my heart.

Pales in comparison to Love and Sonic Temple but filled a niche nicely back in '87. I remember buying it on release day in 1987 from HMV, Oxford Street and eagerly stuffing it into my Walkman on the bus home. The dry as bone, hard as nails riff of Wild Flower starts; WTF is this? It was The Cult but not as we knew it Jim! After about half a track I'd forgiven them and The Cult were my favourite band ever, again.
