I once saw some rando on the internet who liked "real metal" saying how much Skid Row sucks all because they did ballads or some shit. Clearly he never heard this record.

It's quite obvious you are 'samson-91' and I've blocked you for being obsessively boorish and brash in the past, which goes against community guideline #5. You've created this shameful alternate account now in attempt to continue the harassment and that is certainly grounds for being banned. And just how am I the one throwing a fit here? Could you possibly be more sickly hypocritical? I stated I believe Skid Row to be among the greatest heavy metal bands (a genre listed among their lastfm tags, thus obviously precise) and I'm entirely entitled to that opinion of greatness. You come along, Patrick, and label me as all sorts of ridiculous things: degenerate, stupid, sissy, etc. So, it's quite clear you're the one prone to tantrums. If you wish to argue with someone here, try and do it without all the pathetic name-calling next time. You paint yourself as being very repulsive.

Also, when someone blocks you on lastfm it means they do not wish to engage in your petty squabblings, not necessarily that they're a sissy - as you say. Have you never 'obstructed' anyone before? Thought you were rather known for hitting the limit at one point. Something like 1,000 people on your list? Anyways, for you to continue pursuing someone, casting sad insults as you have after being blocked, that's being insane. I understand you dislike Skid Row for whatever reason, which seems to encroach upon being a psychotic obsession. Leave me out of your obsessions from now on. In the past you stated the band only appealed to people with low intelligence quotients, thus harming those who have intimate memories connected with certain songs and might genuinely love this band. Does posting such a thing make you feel better? Well, that's pathological and you should seek treatment.

I am here to tell you all that samson-91 is active on YouTube under the username Daniel. He asked me to tell this to all his friends, but I am not going to do that, since it's really hard to look all of them up, so I am posting it here, he gave me a link to this thread. Anyway I don't want to meddle into this squabble, just posting it here.

Do you have rabies or something? Stop attacking people and be more friendly. Your whole life and world will change for the better. I happen to love Skid Row, believing them to be among the greatest of all heavy metal bands. Manowar is also quite good and I hope to get 'Kings of Metal' on vinyl very soon!

It makes you a loser because you keep coming back and doing it over and over, like an obsessive broken record. Don't you have anything better to do with your time? Go walk a dog or play frisbee with the neighbor's ferret or something. Do you even have a job? If you can't appreciate the majesty of Skid Row, so be it. Move on and find something you DO appreciate. A great many people love this band and your lack of taste is a shame.

Guess we both need to develop thicker skins to wear during our internet forays. As for the Shostakovich you've mentioned, his 8th string quartet is my favorite. I know of an amazing performance on an old cd I once had: Black Angels, by Kronos Quartet. Please give it a listen if you can find it!

Yeah, being shamed can be horrifying. I'm generally under a serious onslaught of self-shame via inner-dialogues I'd really like to gain better control of. As for the Army, I joined just out of highschool and went to Fort Benning! Made it through basic & AIT, but then dropped out because of poor mental health. I often read the writings of an old friend, Spenser Rapone, who went so far as to graduate from Ranger school. Anyways, I normally don't communicate with others these days, due to ptsd bullshit and I have to leave for work soon so I'm getting a load of anxiety here. In parting I'd like to share an old favorite album: Saurian Meditation, by Karl Sanders.

Slave to the Grind is the first heavy metal album to chart at number one on the Billboard 200 in the Nielsen SoundScan era, selling 134,000 copies in its opening week.

A total letdown after the debut was so kick ass back in 1989... I only like the title track.

Their best album by far and one i bought the day it was released. Also caught Skid Row headlining this album on tour with Soundgarden opening the show. Most people find it hard to believe but yes Soundgarden opened shows for Skid Row and this was right around the time Badmotorfinger was released.Caught the show live i think it was in '92 or close to it.

@lordcthulhu Their next album "Subhuman Race" was actually VERY good IMO. Not quite as good as slave, but pretty awesome. It was after that one that they went downhill :p

This album smokes the debut, which itself is pretty good. They took a gamble by becoming heavier, and it hey, it really worked (albeit only for one album).

for all those who talk about the thrash metal tag, just listen to the guitars and the riffs in "Slave to the Grind" for example, and then compare with any american thrash metal band like Annihilator or Megadeth ;)
