Seelennacht ist a project in the Gothic-Electro gerne and was brought to life in 2008 by Marc Z.. Programming, vocals and lyrics, which are kept in English as well as in German language are all penned by him and invite into a world of darkness and light, melancholy and romance, but however, they are always pushed forward by new impulses. Harder and calmer material, in a catchy, partly dark style, combines dance-floor hits and atmosphere. Cold electronica is combined with melancholicly beautiful harmony and could also be indicated as "Dark Electropop".

History:

Seelennacht was founded in the year 2008 under the old name "Darkgrim Institute" by Marc Z. from Tamm near Ludwigsburg. As songwriter and vocalist he set himself a target to realize his musical and lyrical Gothic-chimaera with this project. A little bit later Julia M. accrued as a female vocalist and completed the vocal concept. In this constellation the first album "Dead Man's Diary" with the first 10 songs and a 16-page booklet was released in December 2009. A title on the sampler in Orkus-magazine followed in February 2010 and a short time later on "Blackheart-Promotion". For the upcoming second album Julia had to leave the project because of reasons of time. On the 30th October 2010 the first live-concert proceeded. Seelennacht performed as the supportact of "Frozen Plasma" in the "Club Paradox" in Ludwigsburg. With two female dancers who arrived extra for this show, songs from the new album "In der ferne" were presented. Thereupon the new album "In der Ferne" was released on the 1st December 2010. It contains 14 songs and a 20-page booklet. Furthermore there was a Remix-request from the metalband "Scherbenpalast", where Seelennacht made a Remix of their song "Blick im Spiegel". Since the beginning of 2011 Seelennacht is working on new material again.
