It's not a favorite of mine, but it surely must be the loveliest song ever written about fucking a corpse?

To anyone who enjoys this song, I recommend listening to Bass Communion's (another Wilson's project) song "43553E99.01". It's a track that eventually became the "Lips of Ashes". [2]

Oh, whoever did the 5.1 mastering did a horrible job too; every song is clipped in at least the main left and main right channels, and some of them have the centre or back channels clipped as well. Just awful. It's not as badly clipped as the CD, but seriously, who the fuck clips a DVD-A *at all*?

"Did anyone else ever notice this song has an annoying high-frequency CRT noise (15.734Hz)? Very strange considering how well the album is mastered otherwise." The album isn't really mastered that well (at least on CD); there's lots of audible clipping. Though it's nowhere near as atrocious as the CD version of Deadwing. Great album though.

”You’ve scrobbled this track 39 times. You first scrobbled it on 24 Jul 2007. " And 5 years later it's still an amazing song.

Oh man, the CSN analogy is right on! Crossed with Floyd influences. Scrobbling now, thank you very much...

This song freaks me the fuck out every time I hear it, especially if I'm listening to the album in order and it comes on right after Trains. Great song though.

i hear that high frequency in the song whenever steven sings. it's really obvious in the beginning ("paralyzed, lips of ashes")
