Commonly associated with having a similar style as "Brick Shithouse", "Scared of Girls" is an abrasive, aggressive and frenetic song from the band's sophomore album "Without You I'm Nothing". Earning a place in the band's live setlist for three touring years after it's release, Placebo frontman Brian Molko describes the song as one of self-disgust, with an ‘I’m-ashamed-of-who-I-am’ overall vibe. In a French interview from 2003, Co-founder and Bassist, Stefan Olsdal, states "Scared Of Girls" should have been released as a single for this album. The eleventh track off of "Without You I'm Nothing" was purposely added between melancholic songs "Summer's Gone" and "Burger Queen" to "Follow one extreme emotion with another to take you on an emotional roller coaster ride", The frontman claimed also that this juxtaposition "reflects kind of who we are as people". "Scared Of Girls" earned itself a reprise in 2010 when performed at the M'era Luna festival in Germany.
