Waaah he used to kick his drums. Christ. How limiting and conventional one desires art to be. Performance and expression includes violence and property damage.

@jackgunby: Maybe... But Courtney claimed that the line in "Violet" is a reference to a strip club where the ceiling was violet. She used to work there as a stripper in her teenage years.

(sigh) I only heard this due to a hacked account Someone added it and "loved" it I don't listen to this woman because her drummer used to kick his drums around, and I have more respect for musical instruments than that - and it traumatized Ted Fielding, who was a drummer that was phenomenally talented. So, as a drummer and a friend of drummers: yuck! Interesting song, though! Bye bye song! Don't come back!

So that's where Debbie Harry got her vocal phrasings from, now altogether "One way or another, I'm gonna git ya, git ya.."

One of my favourites. It was the inspiration for The Smiths' first song, 'The Hand That Rocks The Cradle'.

I'm glad that Shirley Manson covered this back in 1993..she introduced me to an amazing track.
