“obsessed“ is a song by American singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo. It was released on March 22, 2024, through Geffen Records, as the only single from GUTS (spilled), the 2024 deluxe edition of her second studio album, GUTS.
“obsessed“ focuses on the idea of hyperfixating over your partner’s exes to the point where it could seem like you were in love with their exes. Its themes overlap with “jealousy, jealousy“, a song featured on Olivia Rodrigo’s first album, SOUR.
On March 22, 2024, the song was made available on streaming from GUTS (spilled) as a deluxe track, along with 4 other exclusively deluxe tracks. Previously, “obsessed“ was only available on vinyl versions of Olivia Rodrigo's second album, GUTS, as the last track from the vinyl format of the album. Olivia Rodrigo and Dan Nigro wrote the track with St Vincent (credited as Annie Clark), who was previously credited as a writer for deja vu.
