Egg is pure insanity! Possibly their best song, probably either that or My Ass is on Fire for me! Love the whole album! :D

Incredible album, and to think it came out same year I was born. WAY ahead of its time.

There's a fricken legend of a human being out there who first introduced me to this album when I was just a chicken. It hatched an egg and the rest is all about crossing the road. La la la la la la la

The more I listen to this album the faster it seem to end. Have bigger appreciation on Dead Goon too.

Definitely. DV will always be my favourite, California was always second, but every time I go back to the Mr. Bungle album I second guess that order. Dead Goon is definitely the best on the album too.

People in here debating Bungle's "best" album as if it was quantifiable in any sort of objective sense. Dude it's music, it's subjective to the individual.

Also you describe California as "the weakest of the three but still a masterpiece in its own right" and call this one "meh"... eh?

You/your tastes changed, not the music. The music is the same now as it was in 1991 and as it will be in 2091. In your comment you're even admitting as much ("I grew up and I don't like it as much as I used to"); your perception of the music changed, which is an internal development within you, nothing about the music changed. "The quality of the music is a subjective concept," you're right, and once again subjectivity is entirely internal/exclusive to the individual -- the subjective quality of the music = your opinion of the music = the change. Every single noise and note on the album is the same as it ever was or will be.

MisterJunior: Quality of music is a subjective concept that constantly changes because we're alive. I grew up and I don't like it as much as I used to.

No, the quality of the music didn't change because you graduated high school. It's still as good as it ever was. I wouldn't say it's as good as Disco Volante or California but this is still a one of a kind experience.

This is the album that made me stop listening to bull shit nu metal and speed metal. Thank God that I seen a Primus tour poster with Mr. Bungle on it.. After I herd Quote Unquote my life was changed. This also got me into Zorn. So, a very meaningful album to me.

I still remember the first time I heard this cd years ago how amazed I was! This opened a whole new spectrum of music to me and I have adored Mike Patton ever since. Fuck yes! :)
