cover art may be mid but it’s secondary to the music, especially when it’s this good (yes this is my favorite album of all time, fight me)

If it's the kind of blackened deathcore formula that works, I'm happy to listen to an entire album of it

This usually is not really my metal genre but holy shit... THIS ALBUM! Lost for words. It basically combines everything I'm looking for in metal - the epicness, the brutality, the grimness, the melancholy, the melodies. 10/10 for me. Just one thing: After listening to this, I'm done, I just need a break from music, it's too much. :D

tbh i don't hate the cover nearly as much as i used to, i think it kinda fits the music with some of it leaning into dsbm territory

One thing that bothers me, which is generally the case with many metal productions, is this very overproduced sterile sound. I know that deathcore, metalcore and also many death metal bands find this cool, but I find it extremely unnatural. A warmer not quite so sterile sound appeals more to me. Regardless, I must say that the music can be very rousing. The songs often easily fall into the same pattern, but from a songwriting point of view, you have to say that s this is really good what is done here. The Pains remains Trilogy is perhaps even one of the best songs I've ever heard. Great atmosphere and a very strong musical concept.

Didn't expext it would be that boring after a grandiose EP. The same way sharing with "To the Hellfire", but when it's only three songs of it - it works well, when it's ten... It's not a failure, but a little dissapointment though.

The record is great, the only problem that I have is that the songs are structured way too similarly. Every song starts with ambient instruments, then into a verse and chorus and the breakdowns are great but sound way too similar. Still, I like how popular this band has gotten in the recent years as a fan of deathcore music!

Nicely said. That and the album cover is underwhelming cause the white bars. I do feel like they switched things up a bit more in Immortal and Flesh Coffin but not by a large margin. It could be worse imo. Also lacked some of the screaming gutteral moves. Will hasn't really done that besides Sun//Eater and To the hellfire.

easily lorna shore's best work so far, absolutely incredible throughout, like it's hard to pick favorites because of how good all the songs are

I am unabashedly ridiculously excited for this album. Hopefully we get a little more variety though, the singles have been great but the most recent (cursed to die) felt a little too same-y. As long as the entire album isn't like that, this should be an absolute banger of a record.

Now that I know the context and kinda understand it, the album art is fine to me. Could it be better? Yeah, is it the worst I've seen? Nah
