I saw / heard Yarbrough in concert in Raleigh, NC on the NC State Univ. campus, back in what I believe was his "hay day" of touring - the mid-'60's (a bit of guesswork, there, as I was only a kid then). My older sister, a student there at that time, treated me to the performance... I never forgot his signature sound, and even today still find myself occasionally humming or singing one of his then-popular hits. I would probably have never know of him, or his music, if it hadn't been for the generous efforts of a "big sister" to provide some musical diversity for her little brother. Glenn Yarbrough owns one of those voices that is so unique, there's never any mistaking him for someone else. Truly a "one of a kind" artist, whose music I have held as "special" for many decades.

still cartoonishly hard to find some of his stuff, after all these years. it really is a shame, he's got the clearest, most beautiful voice. hope appreciation for this man goes up...hm, maybe after the new Hobbit is released?

Loved the song he sang in The Hobbit. His records flood every thrift shop so they're easy to find and sound great. If you like Glenn and you've never heard the Limeliters you need to find a record of them. Banjo, guitar, and Glenn singing. Its worth a lot more than 50 cents. Really good summer chilling music.

Hardest material in my life to find has been this guy's. Oh, but it is all well worth it!
