the song that made me fall in love with afx. the creepy synth pads, the harsh leads, and that heart thumping kick. about two years ago i discovered saw 85-92 and this is the track that stood out to me. every time i hear it it brings me back to those days. good times

Sounds like he's using an old analog synth, which have the notorious tendency to go out of tune as their tubes heat up. In this case it gives the track a particularly eerie vibe.

this song reminds me of getting dropped in a huge, black city at night; the only source of light is this red hue that bounces off the horizon every time to bass comes up and you can just barely navigate through the streets, anxiety and paranoia kicks you in the teeth, you arrive at a door and hectic strobelights and vomit inducing gradients overwhelm you; you open the door and there's this person with red hair and the most evil of grins behind a wall of lights and towers of analog synths and drummachines; you wade through the endless horde of people who are all bopping their heads in unison, you arrive to the front; you glance behind you and you are too greeted by a sea of toothy smiles.

I guess I never thought of this as 'sad' or 'creepy' before. I always associated this song with being caught in a battle between the flu virus and my own immune system. The pounding head, the daze of medicine and fever... the loss of senses all culminate into a raging battle that you have little or no control over. Awesome stuff for any infectious stalemate.

This sounds like the perfect track to go on a suspenseful first-person shooter.
