Не особо внятный. Больше похоже на какой-то не очень удачный эксперимент. Strange, one of the worst their albums, but still not totally bad.

уважаю иные мнения, но на мой вкус, пока у них есть Irreligious, Darkness And Hope, Memorial, Night Eternal, The Antidote и Extinct - лучшим не назову)) Но опять же, я не навязываю.

Moonspell's industrial phase started with 2econd Skin EP in 1997, way before Rammstein were relevant outside Germany. If every electronic stuff mixed with metal reminds you of Rammstein, specially in the gothic genre, I feel sorry for you

Yeah, no, it doesn't, really, no need for compassion. As far as I recall, Rammstein was pretty relevant throughout Europe already in 1996 (if not earlier), then starting from 1997 it was a global phenomenon and dozens of bands jumped on the bandwagon and I remember getting sick of this. Listen to "Eternal Spectator" and tell me this sounds like The Nefilim and the like. idk sounded pretty obvious to me back in the days, given the context.

There's a lot of bands that were playing Rammstein-esque industrial metal way befor them, Ministry and KMFDM had pretty simillar riffage and overal sound. Even 2nd Clawfinger album had similar vibes, and it was released in 1995, before Rammstein became popular and impactful. Plus, the popularity if industrial rock and metal in general during the 90s, of course it had impact on a lot of bands. I'm listening to this album for the first time and to be honest, I can't see much similarities, Rammstein is probably the last band I can think of right now. Maybe Type O Negative, maybe Paradise Lost, but totally not Rammstein.

I know all that. All I'm saying is Rammstein made it kind of mainstream, it was suddenly a major hype and many bands jumped on the bandwagon, pretty much at the same time. It was really quite noticeable. Ministry and KMFDM never were that popular. If you're saying this was all coincidence, well, in that case it was a rather remarkable one in terms of simultaneity. I remember vividly being pretty annoyed by this trend back then. But anyways, wth. Moonspell did worse since Butterfly Effect, so whatever.

It is indeed underrated, but I don't find it their best album. Some songs are amazing though.
