It’s a very dark track that kicks off Danny Brown’s 2016 album Atrocity Exhibition. From the first moment on, he delivers an insight into his state of mind and his feelings. He mentions drug abuse, loneliness and thoughts about death over a clanking, abrasive, and cluttered beat.
The title of this song is also a reference to his break out album "XXX", whose title track contains the line:
"And it’s the downward spiral, got me suicidal"
