Hull born Roy North was something of a fixture on children's television in the UK during the 1970's. He spent 1973-76 partnering wise-cracking fox puppet Basil Brush as Mr Roy . Toothsome and clean-cut North also presented pop show Get It Together with another wildlife - based puppet , the sardonic owl Ollie Beak.
