"Protection" was released as a single Sep 26 1994 and features Tracey Thorn from Everything But The Girl on vocals. Also features a sample from the James Brown track "The Payback". After falling out with Shara Nelson over wages and her decision to make a solo record, Massive Attack brought in Tracey Thorn as a new vocalist. The single of "Protection" contains an ethereal remix by Brian Eno.
