Flamboyant, extravagant, thought-provoking... certainly inimitable; just some of the words certain to have been thrown the way of Kevin Barnes over the years. A man with a more colourful musical career than most, his work and life since of Montreal's inception in 1997 was recently documented in the fantastic 'The Past Is A Grotesque Animal'; a film with immense insight into the workings of a one-of-a-kind creative mind.
We are beyond stoked to be a part of an upcoming solo show by Kevin Barnes, taking place at the Swedish American Hall in San Francisco on June 21st and presented by our friends at Noise Pop. We're not entirely sure what to expect from a Kevin Barnes solo show, but the same can be said about any of Montreal show over the years.
And for that, we should all be very excited indeed.
